Media Recap: Social Entrepreneurs in Residence

Last week, we shared an exciting announcement with our community -  Kori Chilibeck and Matt Moreau, Founders of The Earth Group, have been chosen as our first ever Social Entrepreneurs in Residence.  Local media outlets CTV and CBC joined us in the space to get the lowdown on the program and interview our newest Social Entrepreneurs in Residence.

Check out the links below to hear all about Earth Group and what it means to have a Social Entrepreneur in Residence. If you watch closely, you can spot a few staff cameos, as well as our own Social Innovation Institute Founding Director Leo Wong talking about how the Social Innovation Institute will bridge opportunities to collaborate with Kori and Matt to the campus community.

After the media event at Roundhouse, Kori and Matt joined Jennifer Crosby in the Global Edmonton studio to share what they'll be up to here at MacEwan University, both at Roundhouse and throughout campus. Matt had a particularly busy day, rushing back to Roundhouse for his monthly office hours following the Global interview!

And to wrap up the week, our Social Entreprenuers in Residence joined Rod Kurtz for an interview on CBC's Radio Active!

We're grateful to have such inspiring social entrepreneurs in residence that both share a genuine interest in helping others and building a community of responsible business and changemaking!
